I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Joe Laurin for the Concord Select Board. Having known Joe for 10 years through both youth sports and the Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle board, I believe he possesses the skills, experience, and character needed to serve our town effectively.
Joe is a problem-solver at heart, and I’ve experienced this firsthand in my interactions with him on the committees on which we’ve served together. He has repeatedly proven himself to be results-oriented, thoughtful, collaborative, and respectful. His background as an engineer and business consultant has given him a keen ability to analyze complex issues, develop practical solutions, and drive meaningful results.
Joe values diverse perspectives, embraces transparency, and believes in making decisions based on data and the needs of our entire community. At a time when Concord faces critical challenges, rising costs, responsible budgeting, and the need for clearer governance, I know that Joe’s leadership, financial expertise, and commitment to fairness will be invaluable. The discussions I’ve had with him related to the most important issues our town faces — affordability, finances, and the prison site — inspired me to write this letter.
Concord needs a leader who will be progressive, insightful, and transparent and has a proven track record of success. Joe Laurin is that leader. I encourage my fellow residents to join me in supporting Joe for the Select Board and to cast their vote on April 8.
